Now that fall is here, it is time again to pay some attention to the weather man when (s)he is forcasting high winds. In case you don’t know, wind is the No. 1 killer of vinyl banners. If you have your banner mounted against a solid surface, like a wall, you should be okay. However, if your banner has no backing, you might want to bring it in if a strong wind is expected. Think of a banner like a sail on a boat. When the wind hits a sail, the boat moves. When the wind hits a banner, if it is secured well, sooner or later the banner will fail if the forces are strong enough.
