If you use various type of adverting, such as signs, print ads and say the yellow pages, a real easy way to track which source your customers are finding you from is to put a different phone number on each. Another way is to create a separate web page for each form of advertising and track how many customers you are getting from each source. For example, if you run an ad in your local newspaper the Daily Reader, you might have a web page www.abcinc.com/dailyreader. This will show you how many people responded to the ad.
